I introduce myself as Akash Das, a student of the Bachelor of Technology program from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad intending to apply for graduate studies in M.Sc. Advanced Computer Science
I have excelled in academics at every stage of my education. I secured “Distinction” in my tenth class and in my plus two examination which made me stand in the top 5 slot through out my twelve years of educational experience. I stood in the top in an examination for undergraduate program in my zone.
The excellent undergraduate program at our college, affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University provided me with a strong foundation of Computer Science fundamentals, and also exposed me to various fields of Computer Science. I have always been interested in problem solving and programming. I substantiated my knowledge by choosing graduate level electives in Computer languages, Operating system organization and Networking.
My interest is mainly focused on computer hardware and there was immense need to be abreast with the upcoming technologies. That was the time when I realized that one needs to have good all round knowledge of hardware and software. I wanted to delve deep into the software part of it but our job was to concentrate on hardware. My interest towards software has grown with time and I have decided that only Masters in computer sciences could fulfill it.
The Graduate program at your university is fully suited to my goals. I have found the faculty and the research work to be quite impressive. I feel that to be associated with this group would stand me in good stead throughout my career. I have also been impressed by the computing facilities available at the university for research and education. I have spoken to my seniors and lecturers about my decision and have applied to your esteemed institution. I am confident that given the opportunity, I will be able to make significant Contributions to the ongoing research.
I am fully aware that a research career requires a constant, well—directed and whole–hearted effort. I am confident that I would meet all the above demands. Hence I request the Graduate Admissions Committee to consider me for admission, with a possible financial aid as it makes me concentrate more into my research work.
