Don’t Miss The New iPhone X – Here’s Why You Need One!

Well, Apple’s new iPhone X is everywhere. Experts and insiders agree that Apple has taken a huge gamble with the new flagship device, but it has paid off. Priced at $999 for the base variant, iPhone X is also the most expensive phone in the market today. Why the hype? How different is iPhone X from other previous devices? Is iPhone X better than iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus? Below are some of the answers you need to know.

Most expensive ever!

People can’t stop talking about the iPhone X price, which makes it an expensive device to own, especially if you include local and import taxes in other countries. In India, you need to pay a staggering amount of Rs. 89,000 for Apple iPhone X base 64BG variant, unless you are lucky enough to get a discount. The 256GB variant is priced at Rs. 1,02,000. On the other hand, iPhone 8 is priced at Rs. 77,000 for the 256GB variant. In other words, the price of iPhone X is 40% higher than that of iPhone 8.

Incredible display

Apple took a big gamble when it replaced iPhone LCD screen with an OLED one for iPhone X. The screen covers the entire frontal surface of the screen, barring a small sliver on the top, which contains the sensors and the front-facing camera. Apple has also removed the iconic Home button from the device too. Now, it just takes a swipe from the bottom of the display to reach the home-screen. If you compare the look with the iPhone 8, iPhone X certainly looks and feels much better, with a more futuristic design.

Great on performance

Apple is known for packing the best tech inside every iPhone, and iPhone X is no different. However, don’t expect a difference as far as the performance of iPhone 8 is concerned. Both feature a A11 Bionic chip, which has two cores that have been enhanced for performance. In short, expect more than your iPhone 7. Also, iPhone X features 3GB RAM, while iPhone 8 comes with 2GB RAM. However, given the difference in size and cameras, the performance of both devices are likely to remain identical.

What’s new?

Firstly, Apple gets away with the old Touch ID tech with iPhone X. Instead, you have Face ID, which recognizes the face of the phone owner. Apple claims that this is the best biometric system ever, and users agree that setting up the device for Face ID is not complicated. The technology also adapts to the face changes of the user, but doesn’t work when the eyes are closed. Also, Face ID will detect the face when the user has beard or is using eyeglasses. Please note that Apple iPhone 8 still has the Touch ID.
